Summary of Paws of Fury animation
In a land inspired by feudal Japan and inhabited almost entirely by cats, Ika Cho, a high-ranking official of the land's shogun, wants to expand his giant palace. However, it is right next to the poor village of Kakamochu. Hoping to get rid of it, Ika Chu plans to force the residents of Kakamochu to leave their town by sending a group of thugs led by the ill-tempered Ohga into the town's garbage dump and then cleaning it out with his giant jade toilet.
The townspeople ask the shogun to appoint a new samurai to protect them after the old one escapes. Hoping to annoy the townspeople, cause chaos, and leave Kakamocho at his mercy before the shogun arrives, Ika-cho decides to appoint Hank, a prisoner dog about to be executed with aspirations of becoming a samurai. After an initial hostile reception, Hank relies on the help of Jimbo, a feline samurai who reluctantly agrees to train him, to overcome the hostility of the townspeople.
